Vakkakoski, part of the river Torneälven in Europe´s last wilderness is situated 25 km north of Kiruna. To get there you go by boat or by snowmobile in the winter. Vakkakoski offers rich surroundings with great fishing and recreation. At the end of the rapids, Torneälven is joined by its tributary Rautasälven and together these rivers form a delta with great possibilities for trolling. The surroundings are magnificent with lots of birds, mainly waterfowl, but eagles are also daily guests.
